I’m all ears

Talking and listening are important parts of communication. However keeping a balance is the important thing. If you talk more but listen less that you would irritate people. If you talk less and listen well, you will make good friends. By “talking” I’m referring to talking nonsense and boasting. Who likes that anyway!. When you are in a relationship if your partner does the most talking and don’t really appreciate your opinion or is not interested in listening to you, troubles will follow. Also, if your partner does only listening and not actively talking with you, again means trouble. The ideal relationship would be where there is a balance in your communication. I believe this is true with every type of relationship including friendships.

Remember out of respect how we try not to argue or talk back but keep listening when our parents say something that we don’t like? Especially when we are to take an important decision about our life or, going to take a risk. When we finally decide to air our voice it becomes a heated argument and result in hurting everybody. And you may regret of some words you spoke since you can’t take them back. It would be better if we all be sensitive to each other and communicate. In this case parents are not that insensible. They just assume we are too young. And its down to us to make them believe in us and make them trust us. After all if you don’t have a good track records you will get told off from everywhere. Parents becomes understanding only if you talk with them with respect and make clear what you want. After all I don’t think any parent would wanna take chances with their children.

Listen carefully and talk wisely.

As soon as you graduate you become everybody else. Nobody. Society don’t care who you are. They don’t know you. Your name is not heard. People don’t like you because you are just like them. No big deal. Businesses don’t specifically love you. No special treatments. No special packages. You represent the present. You are the present.

As soon as you retire you again become somebody. People like you. You are rich. You have the money. But you don’t have anybody. So businesses love you. Your voice is heard. You are a burden to the society but still people care about you. Because you represent the past. You are the past.
