Deserted!

I realised this blog hasn’t been updated for a very long time. I have been keep saying to myself that I will update this but at the same time I have been procrastinating it. There are many things I can write as I go about my life everyday. So I guess I just have to start somehow.

Looking for food

Beggars have a very different name in Britain. They are called Big Issue sellers. They sell a magazine called The Big Issue and earn their living but at the same time they beg for pennies. These people are so poor and homeless and alcoholic. In fact they beg so that they can drink more. All the money is spent on alcohol. Yeah, just alcohol. Clothes they steal, and food they dig a waste bin and eat some leftovers or expired food thrown away by restaurants and retailers.

In my country however I have never seen beggars dig bins. They are not alcoholic I guess. They have self-esteem. So they stay out of bins. At least in public.

The Big Issue is another topic itself because I see that as a failed attempt to cure homelessness. It does provide a legitimate source of income though. But everytime somebody buys a Big Issue, the money is spent on alcohol, and is not helping towards betterment.
